(Reno, Nev. – October 22, 2025) – Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada (CCNN) is issuing an urgent call for baby formula donations as uncertainty surrounding WIC benefits grows. The organization is requesting both soy- and milk-based formulas to support families who may be impacted by potential federal funding decreases.
“We are deeply concerned about families who may be affected by the changes to WIC and SNAP and have organized a formula drive to help fill the gap while state and federal resources are determined,” said Marie Baxter, CEO of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. “Formula provides the essential nutrients infants need to grow and develop into strong, healthy toddlers.”
“Baby formula is made especially for babies under 1 year old. Cow’s milk can be hard for babies to digest and doesn’t have all the important nutrients they need.
