Multiple ramp and lane closures this weekend due to USA Parkway Project

Partial closure of the State Route 439 and Electric Avenue intersection, with ramp closures will take place this weekend as part of the Nevada Department of Transportation project to repave USA Parkway.

Lane reductions and detours

The following will happen 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 through 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27 for paving:

  • Short sections of USA Parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction near Electric Avenue
  • Electric Avenue/Britain Drive will be closed to through traffic at USA Parkway
  • Nearby detours such as Waltham Way and Denmark Drive will allow motorists to reach USA Parkway
  • For drivers heading from the Fallon/Fernley area, the westbound I-80 off ramp to USA Parkway will be closed, with a detour available via the Mustang interchange
  • Speed limits on both directions of I-80 will be reduced to 55mph near the USA Parkway interchange

Weeknight lane reductions

  • Short sections of USA Parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Interstate 80 and southern Electric Avenue
  • 7 p.m. – 5 a.m. nightly Sunday evenings through Friday mornings

Weekend lane reductions

  • Additional 24/7 weekend lane reductions will also periodically take place between 7 p.m. Fridays and 4 a.m. Mondays
  • Motorists should also anticipate future temporary intersection closures at Electric Avenue and USA Parkway, with nearby, marked detours available

Individual areas of road work will be scheduled to avoid the busiest travel times and reduce traffic impacts as much as possible within the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, according to NDOT…
