Volunteers plant hundreds of pine trees to reinvigorate areas impacted by Davis Fire

Parts of Washoe Valley, devastated by last year’s Davis fire, turning a new leaf on Saturday.

“It’s a total of 400 that we planted today… And it was a great day for planting,” said Emily Middleton, a plant doctor with Moana Nursery.

Middleton spent a chunk of her morning out at Davis Creek Regional Park, guiding a group of 40 volunteers in planting jeffrey pine trees, all donated by her employer…
