The University of Nevada, Reno will hold a series of events in November 2025 to honor veterans, military members, and their families. The program, called Veterans Week, is designed to recognize the service of the military community and promote understanding on campus. Events will take place from November 3 to November 20. Activities include ceremonies, social gatherings, and educational sessions for students, faculty, and the Reno community.
Chai Cook, Director of Veteran Services, said Veterans Week helps connect military-affiliated individuals with others on campus. Cook noted that the events celebrate veterans and offer student veterans a chance to share their experiences and adjust to academic life.
The schedule begins on November 3 with a flag planting ceremony at JCSU Plaza. Other events include a Family Member Day with pizza and ice cream on November 4, a resource fair with donuts and stickers on November 5, and a flag retirement ceremony on November 6.
