Reno traffic stop reveals stolen cards and drugs, leading to habitual criminal sentence

WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A repeat offender has been sentenced as a habitual criminal, according to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.

Philip Mayfield pled guilty to having a stolen car, falsely identifying himself as another person and using someone else’s debit/credit card without their consent. Mayfield was sentenced to 12.5 years, with parole eligibility after five years, due to the habitual enhancement.
