The City of Reno will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, November 11, in downtown Reno. The parade will begin at 11:11 a.m. The event honors military service members, both past and present, from all branches of the armed forces. This year’s theme is ‘Service to Our Nation,’ which recognizes the dedication and sacrifice of military personnel.
Mayor Hillary Schieve stated the importance of honoring veterans and active-duty personnel. The Opening Ceremony will take place near the Virginia Street Bridge. It will include a prayer, the National Anthem performed by Xochilt Luna, and a City Proclamation read by Park Ranger Scott Hoffman.
After the ceremony, the parade will move north on Virginia Street from Liberty Street to 6th Street. Spectators are encouraged to watch along the route…
