Cookies for Kindness, The Bridge Church expect increased demand for free Thanksgiving meals

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – This year , Cookies for Kindness and The Bridge Church, along with the Reno Arch Lions Club and Katie Grace Foundation will be hosting their annual free Thanksgiving Buffet for veterans, families and those with nowhere to go.

Cookies for Kindness founder, Thomas Hill, stopped by Morning Break to share how the two-day event is a full and dignified Thanksgiving dinner. The dining hall at The Bridge Church (1330 Foster Drive, Reno) will be decorated, tables will have centerpieces and other amenities. The Katie Grace Foundation will be giving out warm apparel; the Reno Arch Lions Club is sharing their services (eye glasses , Read between the Lions , school computers, etc.); and the Bridge Church will be caring for the spiritual needs of guests as well as welcoming them to check out their food pantry and other services.

Meals will be served Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 25-26 from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m…
