The long-awaited Downtown Damonte project in South Reno is back on track after years of delays, with developers resolving environmental issues that had stalled progress.
The project, located near Damonte Ranch and Steamboat Parkways, will cover approximately 30 acres and feature offices, restaurants, retail, and housing. Plans also include townhomes, park space, and seasonal community events.
“We had some environmental issues that we needed to resolve, and I’m very pleased to say those have all been taken care of and resolved in our favor,” said Perry Di Loreto, who owns the land.
Construction is already underway on infrastructure, with visible vertical construction expected by summer 2026. The original plans announced in 2022 included 150,000 square feet of office space, more than 180 hotel rooms, and up to 900 apartment units.
