Weather maker number two arrives early Monday morning, ushering in more soaking rain in the lower valleys and snow in the higher elevations and mountains. The early morning commute could be a bit slick, especially around the passes. Traveling over the passes could pose some difficulties Monday.
There is a 70% chance of widespread, light rain showers throughout the day in Reno, however, the best window for shower activity is the early morning hours. Shower activity becomes more spread out after about 10 AM. Around South Lake Tahoe, there’s an 80% chance of rain and snow showers. Snow accumulations of up to one inch are possible at lake level.
