A Department of Business and Industry Office of the Labor Commissioner document from last month forwarded to Our Town Reno indicates it received a complaint alleging that Coffee N’ Comics on Moana Lane may have been in violation of a statute requiring businesses to provide employees with “meal breaks and or rest periods as required under Nevada law.”
We contacted Coffee N’ Comics via Instagram and repeatedly called the number listed at their Moana Lane address but received no response.
The notice from October 17th indicates an administrative penalty of up to $5,000 can be imposed for any violation, asking this business which also has a location in Sparks and one inside the Renaissance Hotel to provide a copy of policies and procedures related to the complaint…
