Local high school students serve Thanksgiving meals to Eddy House youth

Local high school students got in the holiday spirit early on Wednesday, cooking up a Thanksgiving meal for nearly 100 homeless and at-risk youth at Reno nonprofit Eddy House.

“It’s very important to serve our community, and that’s what we’re doing here,” said Celeste Bravo, a Reed High School senior.

“Food is like a right, and everyone should be able to have access to that no matter what,” said Braeden, a Reed High School senior. “We’ve cooked turkeys, mashed potatoes, gravy, lots of things to serve today, so I’m super excited.”…
