SPONSORED: The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County is helping the hungry in our community ahead of the holidays. It is holding its annual Stuff A Bus Holiday Food Drive Thursday, December 11. The event runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Sam’s Club on Kietzke Lane in Reno.
The RTC is asking for nonperishable food because thousands of people throughout the community rely on this kind of support. The agency will donate the collected food items to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
“Every food donation helps,” Paul Nelson, RTC Government Affairs Officer said. “All you have to do is drive by and we’ll be there to collect your donations. It’s also really convenient if you want to go inside the store and buy food to donate.”…
