The RTC of Washoe County is inviting residents to gather on Wednesday, December 17, for an important conversation about the future of travel in our region. From 4 to 7 p.m. at the Red Hawk Golf Resort Events Center, community members will be able to explore new information about the Northeast Connector Feasibility and Alignment Study, talk directly with project team members, and learn what the study’s findings could mean for daily commutes between Sparks, Spanish Springs, and the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.
A formal presentation at 5:30 p.m. will walk attendees through what the study uncovered and what comes next, but people are welcome to drop in anytime for informal conversation and Q&A.
This meeting comes at a time when many residents are feeling the strain of relying on Interstate 80 as the only direct link between growing neighborhoods in Sparks and one of the region’s largest employment hubs…
