New traffic light alternatives installed – and it means goodbye to red, amber and green signals

DRIVERS may soon be saying goodbye to the traffic regulation systems they learned to drive with.

Instead, United States motorists will need to learn how to navigate a new alternative, which can be confusing at first glance but has some simple key rules to follow.

As cities and states aim to both reduce congestion and make roads safer for motorists and pedestrians alike, roundabouts are a common landing point to achieve both goals simultaneously, but can be confusing for drivers.

“It’s best that you project where you’re going to be and get into the proper lane before you get into the roundabout,” said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong to local ABC affiliate KOLO on how to best navigate them…
