RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Members of the Loving Laps quilting group work all year to make hundreds of quilts that will then be donated to long-term care facilities, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and other nonprofits. This year they made 350!
Jeanne Halamicek and Sheilah Capurro stopped by Morning Break to share how their group got started and what’s kept them going all these years later. Anyone is welcome to be a part of the group, even if you don’t know how to quilt. They’d be more than happy to teach you how to sew, or there are other jobs that go into quilting – no stitching required…
