Sierra storms, snow may disrupt Christmas travel in Nevada-California

Christmas travelers across western Nevada and the Sierra should prepare for a stormy weather pattern this weekend, Dec. 20–21, and into the holiday week.

Rain, strong winds, mountain snow and possible flooding could affect travel from Reno to Lake Tahoe and over Sierra passes, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
