Metcalf Builders welcomed youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows for an educational site visit at two of its active Reno construction projects: The Afton affordable housing development and the Holiday Inn Express hotel project.
The site visit provided students with a behind-the-scenes look at how large-scale construction projects come to life, while introducing them to potential career paths in the building trades, project management and construction leadership. Metcalf team members walked participants through each site, explained the construction process and shared insights into the many roles involved in bringing community-focused developments to fruition.
