RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — RENO, Nev. — The Reno Fire Department is encouraging residents to share critical information that could help firefighters during emergencies, but only a small fraction of the city’s population has signed up so far.
As News 4/Fox 11 reported, Community Connect is a free, voluntary program that allows residents to provide first responders with details about their homes and personal needs before an emergency happens. Since the program quietly launched in 2020, 1,567 residents have enrolled, according to the fire department.
