RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Early this month, Regional Narcotics Unit, Nevada State Police Investigation Division, and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team detectives received a tip that a man would be trafficking a large quantity of illegal narcotics into the region, according to a Thursday, Jan. 8, Reno Police Department news release.
An investigation led to Smiley Martin, 52, of Reno being detained in the area of South Virginia and Mt. Rose streets in Reno, the release said.
The suspect allegedly had possession of about 20 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.25 pounds of marijuana, and $8,074, the release said…
