Sparks police urge public not to cut through neighborhoods

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – The Sparks Police Department is urging drivers not to cut through neighborhoods to avoid traffic.

The department says these roads are not designed for high-speed cut through traffic.

“In many cases, drivers are speeding through residential streets in an effort to reach their destinations more quickly, creating safety concerns for residents, pedestrians, and students,” said Sparks Police Chief Chris Crawforth. “We understand traffic can be frustrating, but speeding through neighborhoods puts lives at risk.”…
