Man Clings to Life After Phoenix Semi Crash; Teen Arrested in Separate Sparks Hit-and-Run

A man is now fighting for his life following a serious crash involving a semi in Phoenix, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. The incident, which took place near the intersection of 35th Avenue and McDowell on the morning of Jan. 14, required police to respond at approximately 5:30 a.m., where they discovered the wreck between the large truck and a passenger car.

The car’s driver, an adult male, was swiftly taken to the hospital with injuries deemed to be life-threatening, while the truck driver, who was not believed to be impaired, stayed at the scene until authorities arrived. Phoenix Police noted in a statement that the condition of the man remains critical. Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Sparks, a child’s life hangs in the balance after a hit-and-run accident led to the arrest of an 18-year-old suspect named Christian Escobar.

According to the news outlet 2News, the Sparks Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team located the suspected vehicle involved in the Sparks incident the following day on Summit Sierra Boulevard. The vehicle was found empty but was seized as evidence.
