Guilty verdict in Sparks hit-and-run; sentencing set for Feb. 18

A Sparks man has been found guilty of leaving the scene of a crash involving injury.

Kyle Van Ness was convicted after prosecutors said he ran a red light, caused a crash at Prater Way and Vista Boulevard in May 2024, and then drove away. A witness followed the vehicle and photographed the license plate, leading police to identify and arrest Van Ness, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office said…
