Sheep Show returns to Reno for 49th year

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Sheep Show is returning for its 49th year, taking place at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and the Peppermill Resort Spa & Casino from January 22nd through the 24th. The event, hosted by the The Wild Sheep Foundation, features hundreds of exhibitors, educational seminars, films, an art and taxidermy display, youth outdoor education events, drawings, and hunt giveaways. Auctions will showcase more than $3.6 million in outdoor adventure trips and gear.

Money raised is used to enhance wild sheep populations in Nevada, across North America and internationally through disease research, population enhancements and monitoring, habitat improvements, and other initiatives, according to the Wild Sheep Foundation.

The Sheep Show is expected to generate an estimated $3.6 million in economic impact for Northern Nevada, supporting local hotels, restaurants, and businesses throughout the region…
