CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – Nevada’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 5.2% in December, according to a Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation report released on Friday, Jan. 23.
“Despite falling employment in construction and financial activities, both industries continue to see strong wage growth, with increases of 9.8% and 10.2%, respectively,” said David Schmidt, Chief Economist. “Meanwhile, Nevada’s unemployment rate held steady at 5.2%, and labor force participation rose to 63.2%, its highest level since March 2020.”
