Nevada regents approve 12% tuition hike over 3 years for UNR, UNLV students

RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Following a lengthy debate by board members and public commenters Friday, the regents governing Nevada’s universities and colleges voted to approve a significant increase to student tuition and fees over the next 3 years.

Under the proposal approved during the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents meeting, tuition at UNR and UNLV will increase 12% over that time span, with increases of 3%, 4% and 5% in consecutive years.
