Gabbs, Nevada – Residents in central Nevada may have felt light shaking this afternoon after a magnitude 3.8 earthquake was detected north-northwest of Gabbs, according to seismic officials.
According to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory, the earthquake occurred Sunday at approximately 8:31 a.m. local time (15:31 UTC), about 42 kilometers (26 miles) north-northwest of Gabbs, a small community in Mineral County, east of Carson City.
