RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Representatives from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada and university staff gathered on campus to surprise volunteer Pearson Mcintire, and thank him for his dedication and commitment to mentorship.
The surprise was organized by Big Brothers Big Sisters in partnership with staff members at UNR to highlight the impact mentors have beyond campus walls. While Mcintire spends much of his time supporting his Little off campus, organizers wanted to take the opportunity to honor him where he studies and works.
His Little was unable to attend due to the school day, but his presence was still felt. Messages and words of appreciation were shared, emphasizing the strong bond the pair have built through the program…
