Bobcat Ski Team Stands in Third After Slalom Competition at Nevada Invitational

(Feb. 1, 2026) – Montana State stands in third place after the slalom competition at the Nevada Invitational at Mount Rose Ski Tahoe near Reno, Nevada.

Bobcat freshman Torius Hepsoe finished fifth in the men’s slalom (1:39.41 over two runs) and sophomore Tea Kiesel finished fifth in the women’s competition (1:45.99) to pace Montana State on Sunday. Hepsoe’s 51.01 in the second run was second-fastest, just behind teammate Bozze Mikelsson’s 50.92.

Mikelson finished eighth in the men’s slalom (1:40.30), while Ian Haupt was 17th (1:43.21). Gianluca Boehm, Will Steed and Caleb Unger didn’t finish the second run. Loic Spiegelberg and Luc Dalton failed to finish the first run. MSU’s 66 points was third among men’s teams, trailing Utah (76) and Denver (68)…
