Residents who pay sewer bills in Sparks will soon see some changes — and a few new conveniences — as the city rolls out an upgraded billing system in early March.
City officials say the new system will expand payment options and make it easier for customers to manage their accounts. One of the biggest updates: fee-free payments when using a checking account. Customers who choose this option won’t be charged a processing fee.
Credit card payments will still be accepted, but they will come with a convenience fee charged by the credit card company. The fee will appear as a separate line item on receipts, and the City of Sparks says it does not receive any portion of that charge…
