This Week in Wolf Pack History: Chris Starr sets Division I record with a 53-point game

Nevada athletics has had plenty of freshmen phenoms in its history. But rarely has the Wolf Pack had a rookie standout like women’s basketball forward Chris Starr. On Feb. 8, 1983, Starr scored an NCAA-record 53 points in a heartbreaking 82-81 home loss to Sacramento State.
