Dispatchers recognized for being the ‘calm in the storm’ in burn victim’s time of need

LYON COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – Two Lyon County Public Safety dispatchers were recognized for their seamless response to an 11-year-old boy in Dayton who had badly burned himself on Friday, Jan. 30, 2025, according to a Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

“They demonstrated the utmost professionalism and showed what it truly means to be the ‘calm in the storm’ in someone’s time of need,” the Thursday, Feb. 12, post said.
