While the Washoe County school district wrote back to us saying there had been no arrest at Spanish Springs High School on February 5th, and media reported “a lockdown alarm was mistakenly activated due to a technical error,” on that day, we received photos taken from inside the school showing a detained individual outside on school grounds.
This led us to file a public information request for which we received a response today, with a Washoe County School District Police document indicating there was “a reported person with weapon solved at the scene” listed as 1065 Eagle Canyon Drive, Sparks; SSHS.
