Damon Harrell, a longtime Sparks resident, Marine Corps veteran and local real estate professional, announced his candidacy for Sparks City Council representing Ward 4 on Friday.
“I’m running because Sparks deserves leadership that puts neighborhoods first, spends taxpayer dollars responsibly, and plans for growth without sacrificing our quality of life,” Harrell said in his announcement. “Ward 4 should not be an afterthought or a dumping ground for bad ideas. It should be protected, respected, and represented.”
The release adds that Harrell as a Marine Corps veteran, he learned that leadership means making hard decisions, telling the truth, and standing up for the people you serve.
