2 killed in head-on, wrong-way crash on 395 north of Reno; all northbound lanes closed

Two people were killed Sunday night in a wrong-way head-on crash on U.S. Highway 395 near the California-Nevada state line, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs.

The incident was first reported shortly after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, when callers told authorities a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes near the Bordertown area just north of the state line.

Minutes later, a two-car head-on crash was confirmed in the same area. Witnesses reported seeing flames following the crash, and emergency responders were advised that at least one vehicle was on fire…
