An open house at Higher Dimensions of Healing in Carson City recently brought community members together to learn about ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and its role in treating resistant mental health conditions. The center, known for providing evidence-based care, opened its doors with live music, a fondue party, and presentations from staff to raise awareness about innovative mental health treatments.
During the event, licensed therapist and co-owner Christine Salvo, along with her husband Aaron Augustis, a veteran and administrator, shared their professional experiences. They spoke about how ketamine therapy is used to help patients with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Augustis, who has served in Iraq, highlighted the importance of such treatment for veterans, sharing how ketamine therapy has supported his healing and may benefit others.
