RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Schools and government offices around northern Nevada are closing their doors Tuesday as a round of heavy snow hits the area.
Four to eight inches of snow is expected to hit the valley floor Tuesday. 3-5 feet of snow is estimated above 7,000 feet, 1-3 feet in the Tahoe Basin, and 8-16 inches in the foothills.
The snow has already caused the closure of schools in the Washoe County School District. Schools in Carson City and Storey County are also closed…
