Fire crews responded to a blaze at an abandoned apartment building off of Grove Street in Reno on Monday, around 7:15 p.m., extinguishing the flames before they could spread to nearby structures.
According to fire officials, the building was vacant at the time of the fire. Investigators believe the blaze may have been started in connection to homeless squatters, though the exact cause remains under investigation.
