A Reno man will never see the outside of a prison cell again after a judge ordered him to serve a life sentence for the gruesome 2024 killing of his wife. Jack Willhoit, 44, entered a guilty plea last week to one count of first-degree murder, avoiding a trial but ensuring he will remain behind bars without the possibility of parole.

The sentencing, handed down by Judge Kathleen Drakulich, follows a case that investigators described as particularly violent. The incident dates back to the late hours of May 21, 2024, at the Parkway Lodge motel on Park Street.
