Make sure to keep both hands on the steering wheel Tuesday, as a Wind Advisory is up for the Truckee Meadows, and down through Carson City and Minden. An advisory is also up for the Tahoe Basin and Mono County through 7 PM Tuesday. Wind gusts will top 40mph in the valley and 50mph in wind prone areas. Sustained winds will range from 15-25 mph. Ridge tops could even see wind gusts over 100 mph.
I-580 is closed from Mt. Rose Highway to Eastlake Blvd. in both directions.
