Sparks man arrested after hit-and-run leaves bicyclist critically injured

A Sparks man is behind bars after police say he struck a bicyclist and fled the scene early Sunday morning, leaving the victim critically injured.

On March 8, at approximately 3:02 a.m., Sparks Police, Sparks Fire and REMSA responded to the area of Prater Way and View Street on reports of a man lying in the roadway. When emergency crews arrived, they learned the man had been riding a bicycle when he was hit by a vehicle that did not stop.

The cyclist was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition…
