This Southern City Was Just Named One Of The Best In The Country For St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and WalletHub just named the best U.S. cities for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in 2026. Savannah, Georgia, was near the very top of the list, ranking number three out of 30 total.

To determine its St. Paddy’s ranking, WalletHub analyzed 200 of the nation’s largest cities across 15 key metrics, including the number of Irish pubs and restaurants per capita, the lowest available rate for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day, the forecasted weather, safety and accessibility, St. Patrick’s Day traditions, and more. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 being the very best.

Boston, Massachusetts, was ranked number one with a total score of 69.37, followed by Reno, Nevada, with a close score of 69, and then Savannah, Georgia, at number three. To rank third, Savannah scored 62.42. Each year for the holiday, Savannah welcomes around half a million visitors. Savannah has the seventh-oldest St. Patrick’s parade in the country and also hosts the iconic Celtic Cross Ceremony.
