‘He’s pretty.’ Janerious Jackson brings impressive physical skill set to Nevada backfield

Nevada running backs coach Jim Mastro knew he wanted to get bigger this offseason and tasked Wolf Pack recruiting assistant Dennis Eck to find him a few backs to fit that mold.

“There were three JC running backs we looked at,” Mastro said. “And I saw this kid and I’m, like, ‘Who is this?'”

That was Janerious Jackson, a 6-foot-1, 218-pound bruiser from Atlanta playing for Feather River College in Quincy, Calif. Jackson had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons for the Golden Eagles, including 1,368 yards and 22 touchdowns in just 10 games last season…
