A sworn employee of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on immediate administrative leave following the launch of a criminal investigation by the Sparks Police Department.
Lyon County Sheriff’s officials were first notified of the investigation on the evening of March 19. Upon receiving the report, the Sheriff and Command Staff promptly contacted the individual and stripped them of their duties pending the outcome of the case.
