RENO, Nev. – John Litzelfelner of Jackson, Missouri, recorded the primary 300 of the 2026 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships on Friday to make a second stop within the tournament’s record book for perfection on the National Bowling Stadium.
After starting singles with games of 213 and 225, the 46-year-old right-hander closed his set with 12 strikes to complete with a 738 series – the very best three-game block across his 25 consecutive appearances on the tournament.
The performance helped Litzelfelner develop into just the forty fifth competitor across 122 editions of the USBC Open Championships to deliver multiple perfect games on the event. His first 300 occurred through the 2014 tournament – also in Reno on the NBS – in his final game of the team event…
