UNR education dean faces no-confidence vote, 85% of faculty oppose leadership

An overwhelming majority of faculty in the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Education and Human Development have voted they do not have confidence in Dean Donald Easton-Brooks, following allegations of bullying and unprofessional conduct.

Results of the vote show 85.5% of faculty expressed no confidence in Easton-Brooks’ leadership. Just 9% said they have confidence, while 5.5% abstained. A total of 90 academic and administrative faculty members took part.

The vote follows mounting concerns raised by faculty, who previously accused Easton-Brooks of fostering a hostile work environment, including allegations of bullying, intimidation and retaliatory behavior, according to reporting earlier this week…
