Genoa, Nev. — A collection of 4-foot, 5-inch tall metal spike sculptures are expected to start sprouting across Carson Valley in June as part of the Dust & Wonder Trail initiative by the visitors authorities in Douglas County, Carson City and Virginia City. Commissioners approved putting two of the nine sculptures at Carson Valley Cinemas and the Dangberg Historic Home Ranch.
Gardnerville is scheduled to discuss placing one of the spikes at Gardnerville Station on Tuesday. Minden Park, Seeman Pond, the Carson Valley and Genoa museums, David Walley’s and the Kinsey House wrap up the proposed locations.
