The NIAA state swimming and diving meet was held in Southern Nevada this weekend with the Palo Verde boys cruising to its 12th straight large-class state title and the Coronado girls winning the large-class state title in commanding fashion.
Reno’s girls finished runner up with 63 points to the Cougars’ 105 points. The Bishop Manogue girls swim team rounded out the top-six teams. The Bishop Gorman boys finished runner up to the Panthers while the Reed boys marked a Northern Nevada team’s highest finish in fourth place with 49 points. The Huskies rounded out the top six with 37 points.
Here’s the list of individual large-class gold medalists from Northern Nevada, which includes four boys and three girls from the 24 events:
