Dominion gives tips on beating the heat without breaking the bank

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – As temperatures rise, Dominion Energy is urging customers to adjust their thermostats and use household features to reduce energy costs and strain on their systems.

The company said that HVAC sysyems are the number one consumer of energy on a bill, so they recommend setting thermostats to around 78 degrees, closing blinds and curtains, and running ceiling fans to help manage indoor temperatures.
