Remaining humid with more showers and storms possible Wednesday in Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. — Today will be muggy but a little cooler with highs in the low to mid 80s. Widely scattered storms will be possible through evening. Storms that develop will produce heavy rainfall, and could create poor-drainage flooding. There is a marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) of severe weather for high wind gusts.

Highs Thursday will climb back into the upper 80s and low 90s, with scattered storms in the afternoon and evening. The threat for heavy rain and strong gusts will continue.

Friday looks a bit quieter overall, but isolated afternoon storms are possible. It will be hotter with highs in the lower 90s.

The typical summertime pattern continues into the upcoming weekend.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday and Sunday, but drier weather is expected Monday and Tuesday…
