Richmond apartment complex owes $1.8 million in delinquent taxes as residents report no air conditioning, unsafe living conditions

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Richmond apartment complex that has been the subject of years of resident complaints over deteriorating living conditions now owes more than $1.8 million in delinquent real estate taxes, according to city finance records.

The mounting tax debt comes as tenants continue reporting serious health and safety concerns, including broken air conditioning, pest infestations and unsanitary conditions.
